A good exposed route direct up the front face of Barrel Buttress. Start in the centre of the face at a point roughly midway between the Direct Route on the left and the big black fault on the right.
1. 30m 5a Climb into and follow a steep flake system to a good ledge below a substantial steepening.
2. 30m 5c Climb the wall on the left to gain the little corner above, then make hard moves to swing right beyond this into the continuation groove. Step out right and climb directly up then back left before finishing direct.
