750m. This far more difficult start to the NNW ridge climbs the rounded pillar on the left side of the NW face directly to the base of the crux pitch on the classic route. It gives fine and interesting climbing which is much safer and less affected by bad conditions than the NNW ridge. An underrated 'Grande Course' that probably deserves to be climbed more often.
