Rockfax Description
Named after the numerous thread - 'ojal' is Spanish for buttonhole. There is not much protection on the route apart from the threads and a few pegs and bolts. All belays for abseil. Start just right of centre of a long prominent roof near the base of the cliff.
1) 6a, 45m. Head up the steep slab passing a peg and two bolts then trend up and right past a thread to a belay.
2) 5b, 40m. Head straight up a black streak blessed with rough holds and some threads. Continue past 2 bolts as the rock becomes more compact. After the second head left to a thread and then up past a peg to the belay.
3) 4b, 35m Head up the wall - 3 threads and a peg - up to belay at a long overlap.
4) 5c, 40m. Climb the overlap - 2 bolts - and continue up a black streak with pockets and two threads. Carry onto a corner - bolt at it base passed on its right. Above a couple more threads and a peg lead you to the belay.
5) 3c, 35m. Easy climbing leads up the featured black streak past a few more threads. Trend right to the top of the route.
Descent - Abseil down the route on 2 x 50m ropes. © Rockfax
UKC Logbook Description
A multi pitch route that climbs to the middle of the two peaks of Fresnidiello (North and South). The name is given by the numerous threads found en route ("ojal" is Spanish for buttonhole). These threads, some pitons and bolts will lead you to the top, keep in mind that there is not much protection on the route and some time long run outs. All belay points have bolt and can be abseiled from.
