From Red Dell path, cross the river and follow the water course of Red Gill until a square cut ravine is entered. The ravine can be followed almost to the summit ridge and path above Hen crag. While not particularly steep, the gully is atmospheric and offers a few akward steps with the potential for some short ice sections near the top (not quite in condition on the FA). An great alternative to Wetherlam Summit.
