Access Banned
In June 2022 signage was installed by the landowner indicating that they do not wish crags on the west side of the dale (Griff's, Black & Deckout, etc.) to be climbed on.
Negotiations to secure access have failed to reach a positive outcome. As such climbers should be aware that the owner does not permit access to west/lower Blackwell Dale. Any climber choosing to visit therfore does so against the wishes of the landowner and should politely leave without complaint if asked to do so.
A worthwhile eliminate version of Mint Sauce. From a sit start on a foothold (LH) and the Ovine low left crimp thing (RH) head straight up, gastoning the obvious diagonal edge with LH and using the beaky crimp with your RH to finish via the sloper.
