Incomplete, not banked out at one point about 3/4 of the way up. Downclimbed a bit and cut across Castle Ridge via a very loose "mixed" groove at Tech 3. Wet day.

Good snow cover not great quality though, walls were running water. Currently at I for the most part with a little ice step of II near the top which is unprotected. Managed to drop my bag just before the top which then proceeded to slide the entire 230m of the Gully and stop at the fork between both North and South Gullies. A long detour down the shoulder of Carn Dearg and a walk up the Red Burn path and back into the main gully reunited us, made for an interesting day.

Straightforeward and tiring! Only one ice step at top chokestone. Finished to the right at the top for variety, soft before the plateau.

Climbed the Castle Gullies after backing off Raeburn's Buttress. Made a long day, walked off by moonlight. (No need for headtorches until we reached the forest!)

Found the gully to be banked out with Deep snow 4-6feet of powder. Decided against climbing due to avalanche risk

Took advantage of the low avalanche risk. Upper chockstone step was a bit thin which made for an interesting pitch of mixed climbing. Seemed harder than II in the conditions.

Moved together. One chockstone step a bit thin which made for an interesting pitch of mixed climbing.

Chockstone was exposed, which involved moves of tech 4 to bypass.

soloed all of it except moving over the bulge. Snow very deep and powdery. The belay from remus at the top was near useless if it had been tested.
