No birds present and no sign of nests. Cleaned away much of the old abseil tat and left it looking neater with a 10mm static rope and stainless steel maillon.

Didn't see the previous comment before I went. The little birds have been born, so as the comment before said, avoid it till the nesting period is finished

Alasdair Fulton 27/May/17 Lead O/S

Avoid until after bird season - 3 guillemot nests and a seagull on top. Would have backed off but was already 3/4 up and it was hassle nipping over and out. Seems possible to go a bit left at the second peg, through a roofy-alcove. Was some chalk that way, but also a nest just over the bulge, so I scampered back to the groove and peg.

An absolute belter. Why this isn't better known I've no idea. Sustained 5a climbing in middle section and feels bold unless you trust those rusty pegs. Superb technical climbing and magnificent situation. Some fairly new tat at the top which seems pretty good. A lot of old stuff that could do to be stripped though.

Really pleased to finally stand on top of this. (Can the next person to climb it please take a knife and cut away all the ugly tat on top?)

Fab setting, thanks to the guide who picked up the nut key I dropped

Superb climbing. Gemma decided she didn't like the colour of my nutkey so threw it at the party coming up behind.

It took 3 visits to this crag to eventually stand on top of this bloody thing. Good route. Someone take a knife and cut all that shite at the top and replace it with 1 good lower off. It's a total state. Would have done it myself if I had a knife.

Fiona did a short pitch to belay under the east face. Tricky crux above less than reassuring gear, pretty steady after that with good gear.

Fiona Reid 16/Aug/16 AltLd O/S

Led a short pitch to the start. Mike did the hard stuff. Crux is possibly pushing 5b for the short. Ace route and what a brilliant situation :)

Went with Harry and Jake, got wiped out by a freak wave on approach and so was soaked and shivering by the time I started leading. Hard for HVS, backed off just after first peg. Jake had a go and fell off, then Harry got to the second peg and backed off. Free biner for next people there, will be back soon...

Looked slippy because of the lichen but was dry and some decent holds. Watch out for the bird crap though! Enough places for gear but thankful for the old peg runners. Got lost in the route near the top and had to down climb and traverse but made it up. Watch the tide as comes in quick and gets deep. Loads of tat at top.

Great climb! Some of the Rock was a bit loose but there were a few pegs thankfully. Lots of old gear at the top of questionable strength but it held me ok on descent. Give yourself a bit of time for this one as the 2k walk is a lot more trying when its dark and your trying to use a lighthouse to see in front of you.

Amazing route, felt a bit nippy and run out for an hvs, some hard moves with no gear. Maby it was just because of the atmosphere, waves crashing and gulls circling. Great intro to sea stacks (I want more) and not far from Edinburgh, do it if you’re in the area!
