NigelHurst 10 Sep, 2018 Lead O/S First sea stack, a lovely climb, loads of gear and holds are there when you want them, even got my first hand jam in. Ab down was interesting due to wind which blew rope round other side of stack. We descended (abbed)/ascended (ascender/clove) on route below the pinnacle as in guide - DON'T go there, a chossy wall of gravel, grass and loose blocks everywhere, definite risk of serious injury. It's a great little stack with atmospheric climbs but use punchbowl approach

Simon Caldwell 10 Sep, 2014 AltLd O/S C led most of it but rope drag stopped her below the final wall, so I led that bit. Would be best to belay at the top of the initial crack. Nice line, good climbing, tricky but well protected S 4b **.

Robin Woodward ?Aug, 2014 Lead Nice route, great location. Avoided the main routes on the seaward face due to loads of slimy seaweed. Lots of tat on the topout for rapping off, but equal amounts of guano. After two attempts still haven't found the right ab point, ended up going a full 100 m.

mullermn 3 Aug, 2011 Lead O/S Had a bit of an ordeal on this, mainly stemming from the words '(optional belay)' in the guide. Belay not at all optional! Doing the route in a single pitch lead to massive rope drag, ropes stuck in a crack, two seconds leap frogging each other up the route to free each others' ropes and all the while belaying in the worlds largest seagull toilet. This route owes me compensation!

LoopyLou 25 Sep, 2010 Lead Guide book description is spot on. This route puts a smile on your face. Excellent rock and you can sink as much gear as you want. A fun approach from the Earthquake absail point. We put up a new route at Punchbowl Cliff South to exit the cliff as an alternative to climbing out on Pretender or Punchbowl Arete at Punchbowl Main Cliffs. Climbed with Sara Kedge (NST).

victim of mathematics 9 Aug, 2009 AltLd O/S A bit hard for 4a (it's in the bew guide at S 4a), and it rather runs out of steam after the slabby ramp (it'd be very hard to do the whole route in one pitch without a world of rope drag).
