Start as for Sidewinder, tackle the obvious corner above and continue striaght up, crossing sidewinder and rejoining the final wall of Savage Slit.

Roberttaylor 27 Feb, 2017 Lead O/S With Stephen and Sarah. The traverse on p1 wasn't too bad I though, the corners above felt harder. Did p1 to above the first corner (lots of rope drag, should have stopped below this at the tat belay but would have been very cramped as a three). P2 was short corner followed by wall to a big comfortable belay and P3 was easy ground then the other side of the savage slit crack to the SS belay ledge. Abbed off. I'd give it V 6, initial corner was verglassed. Really enjoyable, adventurous feeling route.

SarahA 27 Feb, 2017 2nd With Robert and Stephen. Beautiful day, powdery. Fell off on traverse to reach corner (annoying!) but managed rest of it ok. Really enjoyed second corner off the belay.

Captain Solo 5 Jan, 2017 AltLd A wee lob leading initial corner made this interesting. Some useful ice around.

MSchobitz 14 Feb, 2015 2nd O/S Got on this after Deep Throat, so that I could try and lead a tech 6 route. Attempted to lead the corner, but really wasnt up for it. Got benighted after starting the route at 4ish. Topped out at 7ish. Pretty bad hooks up the corner.

masa-alpin 23 Jan, 2014 AltLd O/S I lead P1, Ross, P2. Very few gear, which is hard-gained, due to powder cover. The amount of ice is limited. Traverse to get established to the chimney was the crux with a poor runner. The main chimney section (15m?) had no gear, though there was good gear before and after.

Mihkel 16 Jan, 2014 AltLd O/S Hard for grade. Jonnie led the main pitch up a corner; I led P2 up a tricky groove onto easier ground to the plateau. Finish by headtorch.

Shaw Brown 13 Dec, 2009 AltLd I am a bit puzzled by the previous comment, the line after the corner is very obvious and gives harder climbing. Take a long sling to lasso the chockstone on this pitch or be prepared for a scary run out.
