Rockfax Description
The right-hand start to Penmaen-bach Arete is also worth doing if you are a rock climber or highly experienced scrambler. The route is harder than its neighbour and sees less traffic, so extra caution with suspect rock is required. The rock is compact and gear virtually impossible to find, which means it could be very serious for inexperienced climbers. Approach as for Penmaen-bach Arete, but stop at the first arete you encounter.
1) Climb the arete up the right edge of the lower pyramid - tricky moves. More balancy and technical climbing on flat holds up the rib above leads you to a junction with the main arete.
