4 pitches. The route follows the prominent edge between South and North Faces, with good exposure for the grade. Several variations are possible, and these become harder to the right, towards the corrie edge. Start from a ledge just left of the lowest rocks of the ridge and take the easiest line.

moved together. tricky right at the very start, pretty steady for the rest, even the 'crux' wall is fairly straight forward if you are good at gloved jamming.

Moved together. Lots of not so technical knees, two axes useful only for a couple of moves.

Traversed South and Central peaks. Conditions very spring like with rotten snow and warm, dry rock so climbed the whole route in boots and mostly with one axe. Great fun and amazing views.

Our line felt very trick for III. Turf mostly excellent, ok snow, Had to resort to rock climbing techniques on occasion.

This was a rather hard scramble (especially because I wasn't really sure what I signed up for..). It was super wet and therefore slippy and also very windy. Descended down the North-West Face route.

Headed out hoping that some snow had survived the thaw of the previous days, but most of it had gone. So we did this one as our plan B. Was still a very nice day out. Good climbing in a nice situation, slightly disjointed though.

Soloed most of it, just lead a 25m pitch. Beautiful rock, beautiful weather. My first attempt at climbing in walking boots and rucksac - good fun :-)

First winter climb. Seconded as only had walking axe and 10 points. Opted to thread the needle rather than climb the Centre Peak direct. Fun

Totally clagged up day. Tom led P1, I led P2. A quality mixed climb if you stay on the crest of the ridge where the route seems to be quite a bit harder. Abbed off down the south peak from in situ tat and got ropes stuck against one another in a small notch near the top (rope friction by itself was preventing them from being pulled down), had to prussik up twice to free them. Lesson learned: if you're abbing down to continue onto the rest of the ridge, perhaps best not to ab direct down the steep face but off to the left down Original Route (although this is hard to find in a whiteout!).

First climb for Karen in winter. Started at 10:00 at night after work. First experience moving together and as a three. Excellent conditions though a bit powdery. Very clear skys. Linked into The Arrete. Absyl into abyss was awsome!
