Rockfax Description
A steep and continually difficult route that has a fine crack midway. Start in the corner under the large triangular overhang.
1) 4c, 30m. Move up to a vegetated ledge and then head rightwards up the wall to a ledge level with the roof. Climb the crack above to a stance.
2) 5a, 50m. Take the fine crack past a roof (on its right) to a small square overhang. Move left and climb the slab just right of an arete to a grassy ledge on the right. Move up and left to a ledge below a rib. Finish up the rib. © Rockfax

J Whittaker 16 May AltLd O/S First time to Pillar and Ennerdale full stop so it was a brilliant day out. Rock was a little dirty as expected but climbable. Climbing is good up to the top of the bold (but easy) slab on P2 after which it turns to a crappy rib finale.

Mike Hewitt 13 Jul, 2017 AltLd O/S Led P1, not soft touch at hvs. Bernard perhaps went a little off-piste whilst linking top 2 pitches, seemed about E1

Peter Main 3 Sep, 1972 2nd Done in an evening after 'work' at Eskdale OBMS. Roger was a very good climber and ran a Mini-Cooper with what felt like 2" of ground clearance so we had an exciting time getting there as well as on the climb
