170m. As the name suggests, this is the south ridge of Rhinog Fach. Start at the lowest point above the screes to the north of Llyn Hywel keeping closely to the crest. The route finishes just short of the summit.

Simon Caldwell 6 May, 2018 AltLd O/S In 7 pitches, I led the odd ones. Some nice sections, some nondescript sections, all escapable, but a great mountaineering day and nobody else in sight for most of the day (a sunny BH weekend)

snowy_woodruff 19 Apr, 2014 Lead O/S Another sunny day out in the mountains away from the crowds on easter weekend. Walk in along flagstone path from Nant Col then round to Llyn Hywel to start the ridge above. Windier than yesterday but still sunny and grippy gritstone felt secure apart from one or 2 loose holds with nice exposure in the main crux pitch.
