From the fireplace niche in the centre of the wall, make a hard move to gain the right-trending ledge system. Follow it up rightwards until a big move gains better holds. Traverse left along a crack-line until a crimp above allows a hard rightwards finish to the house brick-shaped vertical slot.
ITJ originally finished by traversing further leftwards along the rising crackline, to an area of more pocketed rock just below the top. This is still possible but takes you away from the existing bolt anchor above the direct finish.
The holds on the leftwards traverse and final edges have been enlarged through chipping since the 80s.
