Lean conditions. Some neve and ice but mostly thin/powdery. Bit more of an epic than we bargained for, ~10 hours car to car.

15hrs van to van. Soloed up to the abseil off the third pinnacle on hero neve under blue skies. Amazing. Pitched the final two pinnacles and soloed the descent. Snow conditions were very variable on the pitched sections, some good but thin ice also on the fifth pinnacle section. An amazing day in the mountains.

We soloed (except for a short section to First Pinnacle, where Kyle belayed me after soloing) up to the Thrid Pillar. I lead P1 of Fourth Pillar (the crux of the route on unconsolidated snow on this day's conditions), Kyle did the rest, abseiled off. I then lead the first 2 pitches of Fifth Pillar, and Kyle did the rest to the summit. My first winter climb in Skye and a great day out!

Gained the ridge further up so technically not on route for some of it.

What an excellent route! Couple of abseils thrown in just to give it that proper alpine feel. We soloed up to the first abseil (first pinnacle) and then kept the rope on but moved together the majority of the way. The climbing on the last pinnacle is probably the best. There is tat for the abseils currently in place

Only managed half the route skirting under Pinnacle 3 on the north side and into Coire Riabhach where we nabbed a short ice smear 10m perhaps of grade IV ice

Start of an attempt of the full traverse. Snow a bit soft lower down but an amazing coverage of good neve for the pinnacles, Grade III.

Fantastic. Soft snow but that only added to the atmosphere.

A superb alpine ridge traverse, every bit as good (but different in style) to Tower Ridge on the Ben.
