An interesting pebbly sandstone crag which has caves carved into it by an ancient hermit. Not the best rock. A new Leicestershire guidebook (though the crag is just in Derbyshire) is due out in 2010 so more information may be available. Unlikely to get busy.

Can park in a small layby near Ingleby where the footpath leaves the road (signposted to Anchor Church). Path is not the easiest, quite muddy and lots of stinging nettles. Setting up top-ropes is a bit of a fight with the trees. Crag is worth a short visit, good fun. col3 - 23/Jul/15 |
