Crag features

The north-east face of the Grubenkarspitze is one of the highest limestone faces in the alps, with routes of grade VIII (UIAA) of over 1000m and thirty to fourty pitches long.

Approach notes

Possible base is the Falkenhütte. The descent northwards is long and complicated, involving the traverse of the Dreizinkenspitze and Laliderer Spitze before descending the Spindler Couloir to the Falkenhütte.
