Craig Alltyberau seen from road to Llyn Brianne. Upper Tier in the sun. © ccliff
The lowest tier reaches the road and is best avoided. The next tier lies up and right of this. Above this there is a third tier. The two upper tiers offer some good bouldering. The highest tier catches a fair bit of sun. The middle tier catches little sun and dries slowly. A mid-height traverse of the upper tier offers a sporting challenge - care is needed on the handtraverse across the overhanging wall right of an oak.
About 2 miles beyond Rhandirmwyn the road to Llyn Brianne passes by a turn off and bridge over the river Towy. Park at the turn off, cross the bridge and after 200m the crags are located on the left up a wooded slope.
No restrictions but the area is a bird sanctuary and care should be taken not to upset either protector or protected.
