Crag features

Mount Washington makes a good day-climb and can be ascended year-round by a variety of routes - about 12 mountaineering routes to the summit are described. Some loose and shattered rock - many of the rock routes are best climbed in early summer when snow covers the loose scree chutes.

Approach notes

Approach from Hoodsport via 119, 24 and FR 2419. Various trails lead to the different routes on the East and North faces and the ridges in between.
