Approach notes
The distance from Alaró to es Pouet is about 7 km and the climb provides some beautiful views of the plain of Mallorca, as far as the city of Palma. Leaving Alaró by the road marked PM120 leading to Orient, you soon find the road leading up to the castle on the left, with its corresponding sign. The road crosses Son Penyaflor before reaching Es Pouet at which point the steep climb up to the ancient stone castle begins.
