Altitude 74m a.s.l

Low-lying, quick drying and easy to reach by road. Short pitches of up to 10 meters, but some interesting evening fun to be had. Many bouldering problems and a handful of worthwhile single pitch routes just long enough to warrant the use of protection.
As far as this climber is aware the crags here have yet to be fully explored and it is suspected they have been undiscovered due to their distance from Lake District classics. However, they are more-or-less on the moderator's current doorstep, so it would be rude not to develop the site.
Turn off the A595 just south of Bootle Stores to travel east. At the fell gate park and the crags are just the other side of the gate to the left.
It is believed the land is open access. However, the area is used extensively by recreational off-road motorbikers so due care for one's own safety is advised.
