Due to the ongoing spread of Coronavirus, France has banned all climbing. Continuing to do so not only puts people at risk, but can also put more strain on emergency workers. Please do not climb here.
Altitude 668m a.s.l
South-facing, this sector is in the sun almost all day but summer shade after 4pm makes for a convenient evening option. All routes have twin-bolt chain & ring anchors. All are well cleaned and climbed but the routes on the left will benefit from more traffic. During rain, most of the central routes will stay almost completely dry. All routes equipped by John Arran in early 2018 and early 2019.
Park as for Les Toulousains in Ussat-les-bains. Walk up the path signed to Barry d’en haut. After 100m, take the left fork (this is the path to the Spoulga, or fortified cave dwelling), then carry straight on at the first hairpin. The path heads upwards to the fixed rope access for Les Toulousains. The first four climbs start from a ledge at the top of the initial access rope (or belay from ground level); the others are reached by following the path further rightwards.
