Climbs 32
Rocktype Gneiss
Altitude 1517m a.s.l

A collection of Gneiss blocks along the riverside. Mostly short routes from 5 to 15m. Great for beginners with routes from grade 2 to 7a (apparently). We only explored the 2 blocks that you see from the dirt track at the hairpin turn as you walk up. I was unable to find a guide on line but did find a little bit of information at the local tourist information office - see pictures. The main routes are well bolted with good anchor chains. There are also some anchors with no line of bolts to them; I assumed these are for top ropes(?).
Sign posted from the D80 by the bridge as you enter the hamlet of La Saussaz. Turn into the hamlet and park sensibly where you can. Follow the dirt track up hill. After crossing a wooden bridge the first block is on your left. This has an anchor chain but no bolts. Continuing up the dirt track you come to the main climbing area by a hairpin bend in the track. The block right by the hairpin is Double Face. The one behind is Tete Inclinee. Both blocks have routes on 2 sides. Routes are listed from right to left as you look at each face.
No problems.
