Climbs 1
Rocktype UNKNOWN
Altitude 80m a.s.l
Plenty cracks for gear placement. Face is dirty - aside from our line it appears to have been unclimbed. Bring a brush and nut key for removing sand, earth and bugs as you go. Goggles and something to cover your mouth with would be useful too as we discovered.
This crag sits in the woods on the saddle of the hill on the smugglers trail between dundonald and troon.
It is on the left side of the path towards loans (above the resevoir) if coming from dundonald.
Plenty detritus and loose large stones in the bowl below the face - careful with your feet on immediate approach. Unsuitable for top roping - earth above is steep and loose, v risky approaching the trees that crowd the top of the wall.
About 5 metres off the public foot path. Although it is a quarried face, this IS NOT a part of either of the working quarries on the hill.
