The Glärnisch Massiv (or Glärnischgruppe) is home to several peaks, for the ascent of which the Glärnischhütte is often a convenient base. While the highest peak is the Bächistock, the most popular (and easier) is likely the Vrenelisgärtli. The albeit shrinking permanent snowfield of the Glärnischfirn is notable for its size and latitude in Switzerland.
