Rocktype Granite
Altitude 2744m a.s.l
Faces NW

Crag features

At the head of the Orri Valley of Vinyola, in the cirque de la mine region. The peak has a spectacular position and feel with good quality granite faces, remotely situated at the head of the valley. There are three Trad routes in the VS to E1 grade range. The North facing aspect provides an isolated and lonely crag that is both the appeal and the curse of the routes, being bitterly cold in Autumn and spring. A number of gullies/coloiurs can be climbed during the winter although careful route choice is recommended due to avalanche danger.

Approach notes

Chair lift from the puymorens col marks the way by foot or 4x4.

Have in mind this is a north facing crag at high altitude, even on sunny days it can be baltic up here.
