The crag which bears the name Aire Point is an attractive granite buttress rising to a height of 20m from a broken platform that lies well above sea level. Situated just beyond the northern end of Whitesand Bay, it has a decidedly fresh 'open sea' atmosphere with a marvellous outlook towards Sennen and The Longships Lighthouse. Being south-facing and non-tidal in calm seas, it can be a useful winter destination.
Approach from the car park above Gwynver Beach. From the car park, go straight down to the beach and follow the Coast Path northwards to the rocky headland of Aire Point, which forms the northern limit of Whitesand Bay. The crag itself can now be seen 400m to the north.
