Sintra climbing in Meca - one of the best areas we found! © Ben White

Crag features

This area has some of Sintra's best rock quality. The rock type is a fine/medium grained mix of syenite and granite, creating all kinds of shapes and holds. Because the rock is more delicate and porous, avoid climbing here after rain and do not use wire brushes.
