Baío do Mexilhoeiro is a beautiful climbing area on the coast in the town of Cascais. There are a host of excellent boulder problems and also sport climbs on the cliffs next to the boulders. The rock is sharp limestone and the climbing is generally very physical.
The platform also makes an excellent spot for swimming, sunbathing, and picnic'ing.
Approach notes
Baío do Mexilhoeiro is 30 mins west of Lisbon on the coast and within walking distance of Cascais town.
There is dedicated parking by the road just above the crag. Access to the crag is via a set of stairs, of which the lower part is slightly eroded, so involves a minor scramble.
