National park East of Istanbul, about 1 hour by car. A beautiful crag that can be very busy with tourists during the summer months, the routes vary between 10 and 25m. A stream runs through the gorge and allows a respite from the hot summer months, although it can be infested with Turkish teenagers "bombing" each other to the delight of their peers.
Guide books are available for the area from a couple of different climbing shops within Istanbul, probably the best being Adrenalin in Besiktas (see website for more info).
Open all year round with an access charge payable during spring summer months. Parking available but again a fee is charged.
The crag can be reached by car by following the main road out of Istanbul to Gebze then continue east to Tavsanli. Go through the centre of the town into the crag.
The other option is dolmus (basically a minibus) which you can get from Uskudar to Gebze then on to Tavsanli and a 30 min walk to the crag.
