An isolated free-standing block clearly visible from the road when heading north towards Widdop. The crag is quiet, easily accessible and sheltered. It offers steep, well-protected climbing with an exposed feel and is an afternoon well spent for the mid-grade climber.
The crag is situated on a steep-sided wooded dean; sheltered with the main face in an open sunny aspect.
From the parking as for Scout Hut, walk down the hill and through the obvious metal gate on the left, just before the road bridge. After about 50m go through a gate, down the stone steps, cross the stream via the foot bridge and continue on the footpath up the hill on the opposite side of the dean. At the top of the slope turn left and follow and incut track northwestwards along the eastern edge of the dean. Follow the track for about 250m. The pinnacle can be seen on the left.
