A number of short buttress up on the hill side above Bollihope Burn.
Rough sandstone with quite a bit of quartz. The buttresses are a good height but some of the landings are poor.
The top outs are variable and in some cases it's usefull clean off any loose rock before having a go, but once clear they are generally ok.
Plenty of potential for other lines.
Park on the B6278 running through the bottom of the valley. The closest parking is just next to a stream that runs down into Bollihope Burn. Follow this and wade the ford then follow an obvious track up the hillside to the dissused quarry.
Alternatively for drier feet part near the old limestone quarries and walk up the north side of the river.
None - the quarry is on CROW land.
