Huge wall, somewhere around 1050m. Has a jungle ledge around 2/3 of the way up which will usually provide running water and a good camp with wind shelter and flat ground. The whole wall curves slightly with slabs at the bottom and overhung rock for the last 300-400m.
Great quality, solid white granite which requires very little cleaning for first ascents but also very few splitter cracks and long sections with no gear at all. knifeblades, RURPS and bolting gear essential.
Lots of potential for new routes still.....
Approach from Camping La Junta approx 1-1.5 hours. start on Arco Iris trail then follow sign to Capicua. After approx 40mins the path opens to the river and you must find a place to cross. Easy in low water (after dry weather), very dangerous in high water. continue up toward Matelandia and when the trail opens to reveal the wall, carry on up the boulders toward it and look for cairns and a big log marking the entrance into the bushes. 10 mins from here you will reach the base of the wall.
