At UKC we are all climbers and we understand the strong urge to be outdoors as the weather is finally improving. Please proceed with caution though.

The Promontory has aspects in all directions. A complex group of cliffs, with Paradise Wall (aka Pump City) offering high-grade entertainment. Single- and multi-pitch routes up to 250ft. Plenty to entertain the sub-E1 climber.
Tidal in some parts, though not Paradise Wall (but beware swells).
Midway between Lands End and Porthgwarra: park at either place, walk 1.25mi. Best done walking W from Porthgwarra along the coast path skirting the rim of Pendower Coves (past Carn Barra).
The lower section of Paradise Wall has many nesting birds and is best avoided in the summer months. The area is also important for breeding seals which are vulnerable to disturbance from September to late October.
Dates: 15 March to 15 July
Reason: Nesting Birds
The restriction covers all routes from Pandour Buttress to Moon Buttress inclusive in the Pendower Coves area.
The nesting restriction which previously covered the route Excaliber at Carn Les Boel has been lifted and all routes left (looking in) of Pandour Buttress are now unrestricted.
