Crag features

A nice little crag that catches the winter sun. The rock is generally good and quite compact; the routes are quite short - about 8-10m generally - and quite stiff. Descent by walking off or abseil - but in many places the top of the routes is covered by impenetrable vegetation, so either bring a machete or ab off.

Approach notes

Take the exit for Symonds Yat (West) from the A40, and follow the road towards Crocker's Ash. Take the first turning on the left towards the Biblins and Little Doward, and follow the road around to the turning to the Biblin's campsite, and park in the Forestry Commision car park. Follow the path by the fence towards King Arthur's Cave, and continue following that path until you reach a gate. The first routes are about five metres after the gate on either side of the path.

We trundeled a large flake off 'Taylor Made' which is almost certainly the one mentioned by vertigo. It didn't take too much persuading before half off it feel off, we then decided to take a few minutes making sure the rest of it went the same way. There is more loose rock at the top of this route.

Just come back (1st May 2011), lovely crag, thoroughly worth checking out, however on Taylor made, the large flake near the top is dangerously loose! Dont be tempted! Take care all
