15 mins further up the south side of Evan Thomas Creek after Chantilly Falls are 2 Low 4 Zero, Snowline and Moonlight. Snowline is the narrow central line of the three, starting 5 m right of the widest flow (Moonlight). Climb the narrow line of ice, ice passing old bolts en route to a cave belay. From here continue to the top. When fat, 'a steal at WI4'.

βeta: I think both these, Moonlight and Snowline, are highly variable. They can be very thin indeed, in which case, whilst not so steep (i.e. not vertical)- very difficult to protect and I think the pictures show that. They got so thin when we did them that at points you couldn't really swing for placements- just tap. I was lucky enough to second someone who is infinitely better than me. Whilst I've led a few WI 4's and one WI 5 I would never have been able to lead this in the condition we found it. Really grateful to have done this though. | βeta? | |
