Rough, dark rock; sound and clean with plenty of big holds. Vast amounts of heather, though this seldom impacts on the climbing itself. Multi-pitch routes to 70 metres. see https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=9520#overview for the bouldering
Approach using a small footpath west of the Helyg hut, or over a small bridge from the campsite and parking area at Gwern y Gof Isaf (SH685601).
Skyline grid ref is incorrect; the top of the gully is SH689591. Easy walk (no heather/not steep) if you start at Gwern Gof Isaf; walk up behind the farm, left of the river up to the fence line (driest areas are by rocks). Follow the fence staying on the road side (past a short boggy section) to near the broad ridge. Cross at the style and head slightly uphill and across on a good path to the ridge itself. Carry on up to the 650m contour, the crag is the obvious overhanging wall, before where another fence line starts. Afterburner is just round the corner. Easy approach, 45min?
