Climbs 85
Rocktype Limestone
Altitude 432m a.s.l
Faces SE

Crag features

The crag is clearly visible from the A8 autoroute when driving west. Faces SE, so goes into the shade around 12h30. Long routes on the Grand Face (up to 40 metres), shorter on La Vire. Generally compact rock, so dries quickly. Edges, pockets and some small tufa features. Very well bolted. Not much room at the base, so not good for children (keep dogs under control).

Access for La Vire (the ledge) is via several handlines (which start well to the right of Grand Face). Stay clipped in for belaying as the ledge is uneven and uncomfortable (totally unsuitable for children and dogs).

Approach notes

Follow signs for Gorbio from the La Turbie/Roquebrune road, take the first left after about 500m onto Chemin des Vallieres. Follow this road, via a tunnel underneath the autoroute. Park up on the right, taking great care not to block the road or turning point. Follow the road uphill on foot as far as the first bend. Continue straight for a few metres until a hand line on the right leads up a steep bank to the footpath, which leads to the crag in about twenty minutes.
