As far as I know, the only and now most popular crag in Wiltshire,a small mined and quarried face of Oolitic Limestone, roughly 12m's high. Undercut in places by quarrying. There is an impressive cave, "Guy's Rift" which bisects the crag.
Approach the crag from the "one car" parking place on Germain's lane, just on the right angled corner. Follow the public footpath up the wooden footsteps and into the field, climb over the stile into the next field, keeping close to the wood on your right. Just before the hedge with the keep out sign on it, enter the wood, with care, you are now at the top of the crag.
What about the human remains. You've got to mention the remains. leland stamper - 18/May/18 |
