Very much a local crag - very plesant setting by the river Wear. Varied bouldering with natural lines up to about 6a/b, around 5 metres high and about 20m long. Many eliminates and traverses possible and often done. Dries fairly quickly, but can be a touch dirty after rain or in the winter - bring a brush, however be aware of wear on the rock.
No current guidebook however Climb Online have a useful mini-pdf guide. Take grades as you will, but some are very suspect. The Overhanging Nose f6C feels overly generous/plain wrong and feels easier than Thatcherism.
The crag is situated directly next to the path so be aware of potential dog poop where you place your pads.
Driving from Durham: Head along the A690 towards the A1 and take the first turn off. After taking the curve there's a small carpark just before the bridge over the carriageway. Park here and walk down towards the river heading North until you reach the crag.
