Climbing in Kyparrisi is different. The town is a retreat and very quiet in the off season. Kyparrisi is a playground for those climbing 8a and upwards with lots of potential for new routes.
Most of the sectors are in the shade and some reach up to 900m above the sea. This makes it a good contrast to Leonidio and a great venue for hot, humid days.
Note. There are 2 fixed ropes. The first eases the descent as you approach close to the crag on the path below the right sector. The second runs along the ledge to be used as a belay rope below the central section, especially below Sunburst, all the way across to Titox. Neither guide mentions this and almost cost us a days climbing and a long car journey for nothing!
