A fantastic little crag which is South facing, easily accessible and stacks to do low in the grade.
The rock is generally sound and there are some stunnigly good lines on the main crag. Height is between 10m and 24m, the grades range from 3+ to 8b with the majority of routes around the 5+/6a mark. All routes are bolted most of which are good with chains or double bolts to lower off.
Lots to climb in the quarry about 20 routes 3+ to 5+ and a short walk to the main crag on the East side of the quarry.
Parking is to be had either in the quarry although to avoid getting a boulder on your car the access track is best!
Occasionally climbing is banned due to works and blasting at neighbouring quarries. This information is displayed on the notice board on the access road. The guidebook is available from the tourist office in Chateauneuf sur Charente for a small fee.
