Crag features

There are 38 documented climbs at this Quarry, due to the now overgrown state, there are 3 acessible climbs on the "Aretes Wall". These can be top roped at present, to say they could do with some slight cleaning, might be an understatement!

As we seem to be losing access to many crags in the Eden Valley area, it is hoped that this quarry might be cleaned up in the future.

There are many trees at the top to set ropes either for top roping or for cleaning!

Approach notes

Five miles East of Brampton on the A69, just beyond the Low Row junction is a filling station. The quarry, which faces north-west, is set below a clump of trees, across the field behind and to the right of the filling station. To reach the quarry, drive past the filling station and park just behind the small white building which is an electricity sub-station - there is space for two cars at the back of this. Please take care when exiting as this is a busy road, alternatively park at the service station car park.

From the car, climb over the fence & follow the wall North until you see a wall surrounding a small wood follow this wall until it turns a corner and goes downhill. At the bottom of the hill is a gate on the left, which enters the quarry at its left-hand end, crawl under the tree greeting you.
