Crag features

This is an excellent little crag quite unlike the others at Fairhead. It gets the afternoon sun, is single pitch up to 25m and the climbing is mainly on open walls. A pleasant day can be spent here at any time of year. The best routes are: Cats Whiskers VS, Drimadoon HVS, Scandinavia E1, The Wrestler E1/2, Timebends E2**, Archangel E2**, Distant Voices E3**, Soundman E3** and Airwaves E3**. Access either via abseiling from above or a steep scramble down the gully on extreme right hand side of crag looking in from the sea

Approach notes

From Ballycastle take the Cushendall road for a few kilometres then follow the signs for Corrymeela. Follow this road along the coast to where it ends at a car-park beside Marconi's Cottage. Walk out past the cottage along a faint track where the grass meets the beach and continue along this through a gate, then head steeply uphill and follow a wire fence along the headland until the crag comes into view. The crag is on the extreme right hand end of a long cliff undercut by bands of red and black rock. Allow 25 minsĀ
