The area dries very fast. The rock type is yellow/white granite with hard grain. predominance for slabs and round boulders.
Approach notes
From Malveira, head towards Lagoa Azul on Estrada da Serra (N9-1). After passing the junction for Peninha and Capuchos, drive for a further 650m and park near to the gate. Take the dirt track uphill for about 350m and at the water tank turn right into the boulder field.
