The attractive granite peak has 4 multi-pitch routes which all require trad gear. The Contrefort is the rock buttress below which has 5 fully equipped routes 4 to 6 pitches long. It is possible to link a route on the Contrefort with a route higher up.
Drive to the road end well above Auzat and the Orri du Carla parking (as for the Pic de la Soucarrane). This is at the far end of the Soulcern Reservoir from where the crag is easily visible. For the Contrefort, a 15 minute walk from far end of the reservoir. Continue past this and go up steep, grassy slopes to the main peak, 45 minutes total.
