Crag features

The continuing sub-ridge running from Swastika Stones to Windgate Nick spits out rocky protrusions along its length with Piper's Crag hosting the most climbable rock between the two. There is a good selection of problems and micro-routes which could be tied into a visit to its neighbours.

North-facing, but normally out of the wind as it is set down from the footpath. Most of the problems stay clean even when the nearby Swastika Stones is green and wet.

Approach notes

Approach as for Swastika Stones but continue west along the footpath (the Millennium Way) until the crag can be seen jutting out of the hillside just below the path. If you reach a silver gate you have gone too far.

Most things need a stiff brush, but nothing too unreasonable. Asylum needs 2+ pads and a spotter probably. 20+ min walk in, diagonally up to millennium path from the edge of the forest.
