A small bolted crag very close to Route 1, this venue is one of the few good places to rock climb in southern Iceland. Routes are generally 15-25m high and tend to be high in the listed grades. Bolts are of unknown age and fairly close to the sea but appear to be solid and able to hold falls (12/06/18).
Approximately 2 hours drive from the capital, Reykjavik. Driving east along Route 1, 5-10 minutes after Seljalandsfoss, turn left off the road towards the farm Hvammur. Almost immediately turn right and park on the short section of gravel road. The crag is right around the corner, 30 seconds walk.
The landowner doesn't mind climbers here, but please don't shit at the crag - the landowner is very insistent on this and this could affect climbing rights at the crag if abused.
