Approach notes

Take the B3306 St. Ives - Pendeen road to the Gurnard's Head Hotel and park on the verge opposite the hotel. Walk down the lane to the right of the hotel, past cottages, and follow a signed footpath towards the coast, taking the higher, left-hand path where it splits. Follow the path to where it meets the coast path (Gurnard's Head is directly ahead) and turn left. Carn Gloose is the large rocky ridge 500m west. Robin's Rocks is located on the next headland west of Carn Gloose and is reached by continuing along the coast path to a stile in a stone wall. 150m past the stile, a good small path heads right to the headland itself. Walk down to the headland and cross a massive chasm via a convenient boulder bridge to the top of the buttress.
