Crag features

Between Avignon and the Pont du Gard lies a discreet little valley, home to a incredible offering of accessible routes. Against a background of vineyards, one can find more than 130 routes of difficulty ranging from 3b to 7a+, but with a real density in the 5s and low 6s. Add to that a wide variety of climbing styles, good exposed faces for the cooler winter day, and shaded sections perfect for the summer heat, and you'll find fun for the whole family all year round.

The crag is in excellent condition, with very recent bolting projects thanks to a passionate group of local climbers. New signage between areas, dedicated parking and trails have recently been added to make this crag super accessbile and easy to navigate. It's truly a hidden gem of the region, with high quality routes nowhere near as polished as the more classic crags in the area.

The local guidebook is "Les Falaises du Gard"

Approach notes

There is a new dedicated parking area which can be accessed by following the Vieux chemin de Notre Dame off the main road that runs through the town. Follow the signs for "Site d'Escalade" to arrive at the parking on your left. All areas are clearly signposted and within a ten minute walk of the eachother.
